Privacy information

Updated 17 October 2026 · GPS Cam 1.0

GPS Cam is published by Sharan. This policy describes GPS Cam 1.0 and how its features handle your information.

Photos, location and notes

The app uses the camera when you capture a photo and reads location while in use. Captured coordinates, accuracy and device time are stored with the photo. Project names, notes, branding and settings are stored on your device.

Apple services

When address lookup is enabled, coordinates are sent to Apple's geocoding service to resolve a street or locality. You can turn this off in GPS Cam Settings. Map views and opening locations in Apple Maps use Apple's services and are subject to Apple's privacy practices.

Storage and sharing

History stores stamped photos and optional originals in the app's local storage. Apple Photos copies may sync through your own iCloud Photos configuration. Photos and PDF reports are shared only when you choose a destination in the system share sheet; they may include precise location, timestamps and user notes.

No advertising or account requirement

The app includes no advertising, tracking or analytics SDK, app-operated backend, or login account.

Controls and retention

You can manage Camera, Location and Photos permissions in iPhone Settings. You can disable address lookup and original retention in the app. Delete individual local captures from Capture details. Removing the app deletes its local History; device backups may contain app data according to your Apple settings. Copies saved to Apple Photos are managed independently. Export anything important before removing the app.

Support correspondence

If you email support, your email and any information you choose to provide are received at the support address. Avoid sending sensitive photographs or exact locations unless necessary. Support correspondence is used to respond to your request. Contact sharan.m@icloud.com with privacy questions.
